This site serves to document my journey from a veterinary technician who educates to a true veterinary technician educator. This transformation has taken place while pursuing a degree at Colorado State University.  The Adult Education and Training program is a specialization within the Master of Education in Education and Human Resources Studies degree program. The site is meant to provide the visitor an idea on my development as an adult educator through highlighting relevant coursework and theories of education that have shaped my approach to adult education within the veterinary field.

I have made an effort to offer examples that will contribute directly to veterinary medicine. For the few examples that may not directly impact veterinary medicine, there is a relevant illustration of my praxis. My approach to adult education has been focused on how different theories can impact the various venues within veteriary medicine in which I teach. From teaching veterinary students the foundations of anesthesia monitoring in a field clinic setting to lecturing at national conferences, there are a variety of educational theories that have become valuable to follow. Ultimately, a combination of many theories and approaches have come together to serve the programs I have developed and hope to continue to develop.
